ACE Coach App is a psychology-led AI support tool for grassroots youth coaches. This page explains, in plain English, how the AI works, what it is not, and where your responsibility as a coach begins and ends.

1. AI transparency notice

Responses in ACE Coach App are generated by artificial intelligence language models. You are interacting with an automated system, not a human coach, therapist, or adviser. ACE is designed as a supportive co-pilot: it helps you think through a situation, shape your wording, and steady yourself before you act.

Your prompts are sent to secure third-party model providers to produce a response. See our Privacy Policy for how that data is handled.

2. Professional & physical safety disclaimer

ACE Coach App does not provide medical advice, legal advice, therapy, certified physiotherapy or sports-science prescription, or official safeguarding advice.

You — the head coach or user — retain full responsibility for evaluating the safety, age-appropriateness, physical suitability, and execution of any drill, session plan, or intervention discussed in the app. Consider your players' age, ability, medical needs, equipment, surface, and supervision ratios before running anything on court or on the pitch, and follow your club, school, or governing body rules at all times.

3. Accuracy & human-in-the-loop

AI language models can occasionally produce incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate output — sometimes confidently (commonly called "hallucinations"). ACE is not a source of verified fact.

Always apply your own professional judgement. Double-check safety protocols, competition rules, and club policy before acting on anything ACE suggests, and adapt wording to the people actually in front of you. A human stays in the loop: you.

4. Safeguarding & emergency notice

ACE Coach App cannot receive or process live safeguarding reports, welfare disclosures, or emergency information. Messages sent in the app are not monitored in real time and no one will be alerted by them.

If a situation involves risk of harm, act outside the app:

• In an emergency, or where someone is in immediate danger, contact the emergency services (999 in the UK).
• For a child protection or welfare concern, contact your club or school designated safeguarding lead or welfare officer straight away.
• Follow the reporting procedures of your national governing body or local authority children's services.

Please also avoid sharing more personal detail about children, parents, or third parties in the app than the situation genuinely requires.
